As I told him, it was like renting a friend for a day! On this tour, you really do see a side of London that most tourists don't see, starting with the meeting point in the Banksy Tunnel. The other bookings were no-shows, but Chris decided that we should go anyway.so I ended up having a great private tour! Chris was very knowledgable and talkative. I did the Secret London tour on a sunny Saturday afternoon with Chris. It was one of the highlights of our holiday. This tour is a must for anyone wanting to find out more about the history of London - you don't need to be a regualr bike rider as the pace is gentle and the route is flat. In a small group we were well looked after and felt safe. The best thing for me was the personal touch- we saw other companies cycle tours during our visit to London with over 30 in the group!. It certainly gave me the confidence to cycle in London so I would recommend the tour if you are thinking of using one of the city's hire bikes to familiarise yourself with city cycling. The route was really straightforward and included lots of quiet streets and routes away from the busy roads. Chris, our guide was able to tell us a great deal about so many of the places we visited and was very knowledgable. The bikes were great and easy to ride and got lots of admiring looks as we passed. If you arrive early you can look round and admire the grafitti! We also went back to climb the Monument which we visited on the tour which we would not otherwise have done. You can cover far more on a bike than walking and see places you would never find from standard guidebooks. This included the start point in the middle of the Banksy Tunnnel. The Tour was really informative and I would recomend this tour to anyone- even if you don't regularly ride a bike. Went on the Secret London Tour which was a great experience.
